Charge isn't janky if you open combat with it, which I think is kind of the point of the class, which is to be the point of the spear. Too bad the best archetype doesn't work yet.

Any game that adds spellcasting to any class is going to put a premium on Martial classes and with Mounted Combat so OP and the powerful/unique Order abilities on top of that the only help Cav needs is some practice playing it and trying them out.

My charge immediately tripping a Vavakia because he failed an intimidate check on my attack thus CMB targetting his flatfooted AC is really funny chain of interactions. I am sure it is not meant to be this way on tabletop and the flatfoot only applies on next attack after but I am not going to complain, Cavalier needs some help anyway.

The class is not bad, but somewhat too reliant on charge in a game where charge is janky as hell. There are other classes out there who do as much attack & damage as cavalier on regular full attacks without needing to charge. I have to admit though the mighty charge interaction with shatter defenses is exceeding my expectations. As such demon actually synergizes really well with it too, because of aspect of schir and kalavakus.

Can't relate, charge has only bugged out in one encounter so far, after 20+ hours of play

It works when charging from outside of combat, but for me half the time it will start charging, standing in place for 3-4 seconds before actually executing it, even when cast while both my character and my horse are free. Pathing can be a bit annoying too with smallest of obstacles little to the side of the path creating an obstacle, so walking around trying to find just the pixel perfect right angle. Not to mention there are just a lot of encounters in tight spaces. When it works it works great though definitely.

Couldn't find the answer to this anywhere, what is this? Does this mean that units in my army incur a weekly cost as well as a one-off cost when I recruit them?

This is explained nowhere...

Yeah I already had it answered on Reddit. I thought it meant that it cost a weekly amount to hire them.

Sooo you know how Owlcat 'fixed' the double weapon training interaction, e.g. Bardiche benefiting from Weapon Training Axes + Polearms and thus double-dipping?

Yeah, on a hunch I tested Two-Handed Fighter's Two-Handed Weapon Training.

It still double-dips. This actually makes THF meta on some builds. Lmao.

As long as it isn't doubling Duelist Gloves bonus you're still giving up the Advanced Weapon Training Feats which are more valuable than +1/+1.

There is no meta.

Doesn't work in general, or doesn't work if you have Scaled Fist levels?
Also you are not crossing Light character encumbrance, right?

Holy f*cking sh*t. The vescavor canyon is... something else. Absolutely insane spike in difficulty.

Right, cleared the dungeon underneath the canyon.

That was hardcore to the max but really fun.

All the builds are working perfectly, not wanting to toot my own horn or anything but I'm pretty satisfied with how they're doing.

Went back to the Aeon rider for now.
Respecced Woljif to a drug dealer (Incense Synthetizer). Looking forward to test the effectiveness of his -Willpower Incense effect (up to -6 Will), & Sacred auto-sickened vs Evil incense effect + DC Aeon Gaze plus Mind Fog -> Enchantment & Illusion CC. Plus CC/Dispelling Fast bombs.
Incense has very limited rounds per day, but I guess if I follow with a (Persistant/Selective) Mind Fog that sticks, it might be enough to use it for 1 round to debuff everyone's Will by -12 (Mind Fog & Sickened). Then Aeon Gaze DC bonus... and even Mad Touch if needed. Should be able to land some nasty CC.

Except on Mind Effect Immunes...
What good Will save CC is there that isn't Mind Affecting? There's Slow from Transmutation, Glitterdust from Conjuration, Fear and Bestow Curse from Necromancy (the latter more save or suck then hard CC), what else?

My crazy thought for the day:

I strongly suspect that Unrelenting Assault is a sleeper ability for M1/M2.

That is quite a crazy thought.
I mean, the ability is actually decent, the longer fights last, the better it is. Which is kind of not my intention.

Even if its undercover decent, I find it hard to imagine builds which don't have more pressing/beneficial first Mythic picks.

Well, I have a bunch of picks lined up but they all benefit strongly from having bigger M ranks, so I'm happy to take them later.

Here's the thing, UA at M2, or even M1, comes at a time when damage increases aren't that massive and getting +2 to your hits is quite significant. And, it actually activates after the first hit, so your iterative attacks get the bonus immediately.

Finally, I noticed that many of the tough fights go on for quite a few rounds at this stage of the game and it got me thinking well damn if I had +10 damage per hit in these fights they would end pretty f*cking fast.

Maybe it's a playstyle thing, some people favour blowing people up fast with spells and stuff but that's not how I designed the party

Oh and if you open a fight with a cheeky surprise round and get off at least 1 hit, then that benefits you a lot when the actual fight starts

True, the early fights tend to last a lot longer then the later fights. Jeslyn fight in particular comes to mind.
So you may have a point.
Still most characters want their build defining abilities first. Some could afford MR1 maybe, but probably not MR2 - as the Mythic Feats are too rare and precious. Mythic Finesse, Mythic Power Attack, Mythic Improved Critical, Mythic Vital Strike... probably all have higher priority.
Among abilities, it competes with the like of Cleaving Shot (ranged), Abundant Casting 1 (hybrid casters, like paladins), Mythic Charge (chargers), Ever Ready (characters with focus on AoOs - maybe Cleaving Finish/Improved), Limitless Rage (ragers), Everlasting Judgement (inquisitors, Divine Hounds/Hunters), Master Shapechanger (kitsune), Leading Strikes (mostly RTwP). So not exactly an easy pick either, but may work for some dedicated, purist melee martials.

I did that part with a merc when Woljiff was my frontliner. Then killed Woljiff at first opportunity could. Playing that part without decent frontliners is a pain, mostly thanks to Smite Good spam...

Hap f*cking good call with the Slow spell actually. Just switched it in and it is a godsend against Undead even though I'm not specialised in Transmutation DCs
