Chapter 8: Isle of Songs Walkthrough

Skyloft – Side Quests and Bazaar Items

1	After the cutscene, look around the Temple of Time to find treasures and bugs.
2	Head back to The Sky. Feel free to collect missed out Goddess Treasures prior to entering the Lanayru Mining Facility.
3	A new sidequest is available for you called “Cleaning Pipit’s House”. Visit Pipit’s house on the east part of Skyloft after crossing a bridge. Speak with Pipit’s Mom, Mallara. Accept the quest and use Gust Bellows to clean up her house. Acquire the rewards (Red Rupee x1 and Gratitude Crystal x5) from Ms. Pipit afterwards.
4	By this time you already have 30 Gratitude Crystals, head to Batreux’s house and exchange them for a Big Wallet. Don’t leave and locate a treasure chest (Cursed Medal x1) within the room.
5	Head to the Bazaar and approach the Item Bank Teller. We suggest depositing your Cursed Medal.
6	Another sidequest is available called “Fledge’s Workout”. Look for Fledge at the Knight Academy. Keep talking and wait until he mentions training at nighttime. Return to his room at night and see him training. Accept the quest and buy him a Stamina Potion (for 50 Rupees). Make sure to bring two empty bottles and buy two Stamina Potions. Make sure to visit Fledge at night time again to give one potion. Visit him again the next night time to give the second potion.
7	Check if you already have 600 Rupees. Go to Beedle’s Air Shop and buy an additional Adventure Pouch Slot #3 upgrade. If you are short of Rupee, go to Rupin’s House at night and sell the treasures you obtained. You can also buy a Bug Medal (for 1,000 Rupees) and Piece of Heart (for 800 Rupees).

Sealed Temple – Sealed Grounds Part 1

1	Call your Loftwing and head to Faron region. After a cutscene with Grose and Gorko, you can target some birth nearby and acquire Bird Feathers.
2	Enter the Sealed Temple and speak to an old woman. Learn how to play the “Goddess Harp” and how to perform a “Ballad of the Goddess” tune.
3	Link will hear a loud noise from the Sealed Grounds. Exit the temple and proceed to the Sealed Grounds by jumping down the lower level.
4	Walk over to the sealing spike see a gigantic monster called “The Imprisoned”. Prepare from a boss fight.

Defeat The Imprisoned

1	Defeat The Imprisoned.
2	Use your sword to slash the toes of the boss. Focus on one toe at a time while you avoid getting crushed by its steps.
3	When all eight toes are eliminated, target the head by dealing three sword slashes to the lower section of the Sealing Spike and make it drive it into the head of The Imprisoned.
4	Alternatively, you ignore hitting the toes and attack the head of the boss directly (only if you can). Reach an upper ledge and jump on its head. Strike the Sealing Spike from above and shove it into its head.
5	When the boss falls on its stomach and slowly reaches an upper circular area. Run over in front of nearby wind gusts and reach a higher level. Repeat the process of hitting the toes and striking the Sealing Spike.
6	In your third repeat, it will unleash a red charge when it stomps its foot. Continue the process while being careful. This time, it will take nine strikes to unleash the Sealing Spike.
7	Once the boss is sealed, jump down and deliver a Skyward Strike to restore the seal once again.

Sealed Temple – Sealed Grounds Part 2

1	After the cutscene, leave Sealed Temple by going east and look for a Bird Statue.
2	Play the Goddes Harp near the location of the Blessed Butterflies. The statue will appear and speak to Gorko.
3	Head back to Skyloft.

The Sky – The Light Tower

1	Go to the Knight Academy and enter Gaepora’s room on the second floor.
2	Learn the first two verses and get a clue “Two whirling sails”. Leave the academy and from the first floor.
3	Head to the Light Tower by walking down from the gate. See a windmill on your right. Turn the propeller of the windmill so that it faces the Light Tower.
4	Look for the second windmill at the east section of Skyloft. See the missing propeller from its back. Listen to Jakamar and retrieve items using a flying robot owned by Gondo.
5	Move to the Scrap Shop and give the Ancient Flower. This will bring life to the flying robot, Scrapper. After that, head to the Eldin Region.
6	Land at the temple entrance and use your dowsing ability to find the propeller around. Go west of the entrance and follow the pathway.
7	Slide down and see the missing propeller along the side. Examine it and Fi will call the Scrapper. Return to The Sky and fly towards the Skyloft.
8	Get close to the windmill and the propeller will be placed by the Scrapper. The windmill will be fixed by Jakamar.
9	Use the Gut Bellows and blow the propeller to make it face the Light Tower.
10	Now, head to the top of the Light Tower. Climb a ladder and stand in the center. Use the Goddess Harp and make the circles on the top of the Light Tower lit up.
11	Head to the direction of the blue light shown by the tower. Before you leave SAVE your game.

Isle of Songs – Thunderhead

1	Reach the new island in the sky called the Isle of Songs.
2	Read the nearby stone tablet and you need to solve a puzzle to reach the next area. There are many devices that you need to manipulate such as a rotational device and a statue with few crystals.
3	Rotate the center block clockwise seven times.
4	Hit the gree crystal located on the right side to change the barrier.
5	Rotate the center block 6 times to line up blocks all in a row.
6	Hit the blue crystal at the top to change the barrier.
7	Rotate the center block one time.
8	Hit the green crystal on the right again once.
9	Rotate the block nine times and align the bridge properly.
10	Go inside the building and reach the emblem. Deliver a Skyward Strike to activate it.
11	Don’t leave yet and look for Goddess Chest #6 (Gold Rupee x1). The chest is located along the perimeter of a large structure and is near the bottom of the island. Make use of your Loftwing to reach the chest. All Goddess Chest Locations
	After the cutscene, new side quests are unlocked. If you do not want to do them, go to Chapter 9.

Lanayru Desert – Side Quest

1	A new side quest is available for you called “Fixing Fun Fun Island”. Travel to Fun Fun Island. It is located west of Lanayru Desert. Use your Loftwing to fly over the island and meet the manager, Dodoh.
2	After the cutscene, fly and head towards the Lanayru Region, the southernmost area. Approach the Bird Statue near the Desert Entrance.
3	After landing, activate the Timeshift Stone underneath one of the boulders.
4	limb the vines and work your way east by hanging from the wall. Acquire an item (Stamina Fruit x1) and see the ground below.
5	Drop down to reach the level ground and follow the path. You will see the Party Wheel around and Fi will call Scrapper to pick it up.
6	Don’t leave yet and peek over the ledge from the south. Jump down using the ledge and open a chest to get a rare treasure.
7	After that, return to Fun Fun Island and receive a reward (Gratitude Crystals x5).
8	Speak to Dodoh to play the mini-game. The first attempt is free. The mini-game requires Link to enter the Fortune Rings while falling down from the sky. Balls must be avoided and land on one of the colors along the island. The amount of Fortune Rings you’ve entered will be a multiplier. Getting all five Fortune Rings will reward 500 Rupees as well as a Piece of Heart x1
